New Year' New Me

Goodbye 2013;
Hello 2014
The year 2013 is a year of faith and unity for me, because this year we suffered from shocking and heart breaking happenings especially in Visayas region. It became the eye of the disaster suffered by the Philippines. I’m thankful that we don’t suffered things they suffered, but I know that we are deeply in pain watching them in television in danger. Watching the dead bodies in the street and watching their beloved city be destroyed. But in all those there is that strong faith that they can rise from these calamities. And also because of this I saw the care and love everyone give to the victims of these tragedies. Even though they are not Filipino, they are there to help us rise from those things.

          But now one year had been ended again, a time where all of us face another challenges of the world. Challenges that can make us strong and can change our life. A new life and a new me, time to change things that had happen to me last year, a time to make a change in myself. Saying goodbye to the old me and facing forward to the new and better me.

reflection of 3rd grading period

Stepping in the last stairs of Senior life

If there is a start or beginning, there is an end.  And now we are approaching to the end of the stairs going to the 3rd chapter of our life and that is college life. We are now entering to the 4th step in that stair and ending the 3rd step of it. And ending very step gave us knowledge and a lesson that we can use in our lives.

And in this 3rd step I've learned many things about me. Things that I wanted to change and things I wanted to be forever. Those bad things I made in this step, I will make sure in my life that I will never make it again in this 4th step because I've learned the risk of it.

Every action there is an equal reaction. And now I've learned my lesson, a lesson that make my life change and make a stronger and better me.

essence of christmas

CHRISTMAS IN OUR HEARTS

Christmas, it was the most awaited day of the year. Because they will receive gifts from friends and love ones, a day where their family or their relatives far from them will go home to have a complete family in that special day of the year. A day that worth to remember and can remove all the bad things happen in a year and a good ender of a year.
All children around the world believe in Santa Claus, a man riding in a sleigh going down through the chimney to put the gift the child wanted to have. They also believe that they must be good in the whole year to have the gift they wanted because Santa Clause is listing every mistake a child did. Is giving gift in this day the essence of Christmas? What is the true essence of Christmas? I think it’s not. We all know that not all people around the world have enough money to be able to buy gift or even day daily food. Before the Christmas day came, many tragedies came into our lives like the super typhoon Yolanda that make some of us especially in Visayas lives even harder. And this calamities all of the people around the world unite in order to help victims of this typhoon, to make their lives easy at the dark times of their lives. And I think that is the true essence of Christmas. It’s not the gifts or the foods that count but the love and care to each other.

We know deep in our hearts that the most important thing in Christmas is your love with one another and your family and not about the material things.

Climate Change

One MOVE
Big CHANGES
 Earthquakes, super typhoon, volcanic eruptions, hotness and change in temperature in some cold areas; these are some things happening in our world because of the climate change. Climate change that caused by global warming that caused by improper caring of our environment. Global warming is the rise in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans since the late 19th century and its projected continuation. Since the early 20th century, Earth's mean surface temperature has increased by about 0.8 °C (1.4 °F), with about two-thirds of the increase occurring since 1980. Warming of the climate system is unequivocal. Scientists are more than 95% certain that more than half of the observed warming is caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gasses and other anthropogenic forcing. And the greenhouse effect is the process by which absorption and emission of infrared radiation by gases in the atmosphere warm a planet's lower atmosphere and surface.
Like what I say we are the one making these calamities because of our irresponsible doings. And sadly new generations cannot see the beauty of the world because of the revisions of people and the effects of the calamities.
We must adopt the song entitled “Masdan mo ang kapaligiran” by Asin. We must take good care of our environment or mother earth before it’s too late. We must change our wrong doings in order to save us and the new generations. Because one big leads big change.

Going Global Through English Language

English;
Key to Everything

As time passed by we needed a global language, language that can recognize and understood by people everywhere. To be able to communicate and understood we shall have a single mother tongue that can be used by people around the world. And that is English; language acts the most important part of our lives. It can be used in anything we are in, or anywhere we wanted to go in order to communicate to other people that have different nationalities.
According to Wikipedia the significance of the English language is that:
 Modern English, sometimes described as the first global lingua franca, is the dominant language or in some instances even the required international language of communications, science, information technology, business, seafaring, aviation, entertainment, radio, and diplomacy..
A working knowledge of English has become a requirement in a number of fields, occupations and professions such as medicine and computing; as a consequence, more than a billion people speak English to at least a basic level. It is one of six official languages of the United Nations.
One impact of the growth of English is the reduction of native linguistic diversity in many parts of the world. The influence of English continues to play an important role in language attrition.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Equal Rights,
Equal Opportunities

Every single person has the right and opportunities equal to the others. In this democratic country we are in, we have an equal rights and opportunities. No one can deny that having a democratic country is a nice in terms of right and opportunities of every single person or even the animals have. We as person have the right to be respected and accepted. We have also the right to enter or to engage in every opportunity we will about to face. No matter if you’re poor or rich we have the right and opportunity to get our dreams as long as we have the courage and faith to succeed in our goals in life.
Now a days, some people succeeded in their life even though they we’re poor but they have the courage to succeed. But sadly there were some people receive many failures because of the unequal right and opportunities. We all know that some people were being discriminated by someone if they knew that they were poor and uneducated one. Because of this discrimination, this lead one life is ruined.
